SCCUL Enterprises
S.C.C.U.L. Enterprises Ltd is a community based company set-up in co-operation with St. Columba's Credit Union Ltd. To date they have been involved in two major projects, the Ballybane Neigbourhood Village and the Ballybane Enterprise Centre (link to www.bbec.ie)
Ballybane Neighbourhood Village Project
The Ballybane Neighbourhood Village Project is a public private partnership undertaken by St. Columbas Credit Union, S.C.C.U.L. Enterprises Ltd., Galway City Council, Enterprise Ireland and the Western Health Board. We believe this is the first time in the history of the Credit Union Movement that a programme of such magnitude has been attempted. The total investment by St. Columbas will be in the region of 8 million Euro. The Village consists of three sections, the retail, residential, medical and the Ballybane Enterprise Centre.
Ballybane Enterprise Centre
The Ballybane Enterprise Centre aims to encourage the establishment and development of start-up and small businesses. The centre offers affordable, high-quality enterprise space to individual enterprises, companies and community groups with viable business ideas who wish to become part of the Ballybane business community.
Conference and meeting rooms, hot desks and business units are available to rent at the Centre. In addition, the Centre’s business support programmes offer a wide variety of seminars, advisory programmes to new and developing local businesses.
